Who uses Alternate tunings?Vince Brophy has been playing guitar for some years using alternate tunings for a number of his recordings. Influenced by the likes of Joni Mitchel and David Crosby in his early years and now by the likes of some of the worlds best exponents of the guitar, El McMeen, Al Petteway, Martin Simpson to name a few. There are many recordings now available both as tutors (listening and visual) and enjoyment. There are courses you can attend like "The Swannanoa Gathering" held each June to August in North Carolina, USA. So the bottom line is don't be on your own - get some professional help.
